Yoga Classes
Thank you for your interest! Although classes have been suspended since the pandemic and all group, indoor, and travel classes remain closed at this time, limited slots of in-person private outdoor yoga lessons are cautiously relaunching on Tao's birthday, Friday August 13, 2021!
Personal (one-on-one) and Pair's (two-client) classes are open to fully COVID 19-vaccinated adult participants. Instruction will be no-touch and socially-distanced, and take place outdoors weather permitting in the Hastings-on-Hudson area in Westchester, New York (about a 30-minute train ride from Manhattan).

Class Content:
Yoga classes are available as 60-, 75- or 90-minute sessions. Each includes warm-up breathing and a sequence of asanas customized for the client, and cooling down and relaxing to Tao's guided meditation. The longer of the classes allow more variety of poses and extended exploration of each, advancing flexibility, endurance, and health benefits. (The 90-minute class is the same length as and most closely recreates Tao's original yoga class.)

Formats:
Mat Yoga: Traditional floor-based class featuring Tao's sequences and teachings.
Chair Yoga: Tao's yoga translated into seated or otherwise supported format best suited for the client's individual needs. Ideal for anybody easing into yoga, in healing, or with mobility/floor-based limitations.
Yoga for Hypermobility: A specialized class applying Tao's yoga and my own knowledge of the strengths and pitfalls of this rare body type to a yoga session catered specifically to clients with excessively flexible joints (please click here for more information).
Breath Meditation (30 minutes, no active poses): A new breathing and meditation class created as a tribute to 2020, the year that Tao and many other souls took their last breath on earth. While excluding active body poses, this seated and lying session is designed to improve breathing, reduce stress, renew energy, and enhance immunity, concluding with a relaxing head-to-toe meditation guided by Tao. Available as both in-person and online arrangements, this class is ideal for anyone short on time, wanting to explore yoga "without doing yoga", not conveniently located for in-person classes, and/or looking for yoga's healing benefits during injury, immobility, or illness. It can be scheduled flexibly as an early-morning session to jump start your day, a lunch break breather to recharge your battery, or an evening relaxation at home to improve the quality of your sleep.
