"Ayako is my little girl! I don’t have children, but if I did I would want a daughter just like her. She brings the real essence of living into every cell of our body, teaching us the oneness of yoga. From the very moment she walked into my life she spread the wonder and excitement of the peace of living in fullness. She incorporates the beauty, love, and desire to make this world a better place, bringing these attributes to activate the true power of love into everyone’s lives, into the reality of how we can face the problems of this world with love and peace, with a smile instead of fear. She represents everything I believe in, what I try to live by. Ayako is the real model of life."

ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Ayako (pronounced like "a taco" but with a Y). I am a yoga instructor specializing in the teachings of Tao Porchon-Lynch.
Meeting Tao changed my yoga practice and my entire life forever. Through her passionate instruction, endless kindness, and vast knowledge in conditioning the mind, body, and soul, and simply through witnessing her incredible being day to day, I gradually learned how to adopt her teachings toward my own healing and wholeness. My aches and injuries diminished as both my body and my spirit gained balance, strength, lightness, and resilience. Tao's yoga gave me the understanding and command of my own well-being like no exercise, expert, or education ever had.
Since my fateful encounter, Tao became my master, my mentor, and a dearest friend, and over the years I had the privileged opportunities of a lifetime traveling the world with her while training under her wing and at her feet. For years I witnessed the magic of her classes, from the way her students seemed to reverse their age with each passing week to how the room always filled with light and love, participants leaving each session beaming with what I could only describe as a "yoglow". I wanted to learn this magic, and received my yoga teaching certification from Tao in 2013 as a member of the final class of instructors she ever certified. While I felt honored to be one of her most recent trainees, I was also acutely aware that 200 hours' training from Tao was going to be my limit on paper. Instead of immediately entering teaching, I continued to train under her for the next five years to extract and absorb everything that I could. When I finally decided to open my own classes, nobody was a more ecstatic cheerleader for me than my dearest master.
